Kilgetty's Got Talent Live Show Success
Kilgetty's Got Talent Live Final took place on Saturday 12th December. As nervous entrants arrived, they received a touch of glamour from make up artist Kath Parry-Thomas. Organisers were thrilled to see over one hundred locals watching the show.
Compere, Sally Lloyd, welcomed Kilgetty's Got Talent judges: Sharron Hardwick, Philip Evans, Radio Pembrokeshire's Gareth Morris and Ben Stone, who gave comments on every act.
Paula Evans bravely opened with her lovely singing act. Young Shania Hines sang Dolly Parton's "Coat Of Many Colours brilliantly. Ceri Davies performed a great version of "Big Girls Don't Cry". Ann Davies played "Unchained Melody" gracefully on the flute, while Sadie and Ffion did well, singing a difficult Leona Lewis song. Generating Christmas spirit singing "Last Christmas", was talented Mary Ann Wall.
Expert Irish Dancer Jody Evans, with Wales' answer to Stavros Flatly – Di Flatly (Ceri Evans), got the audience laughing. The youngest act Sadie Pearce (6) sang Michael Jackson's "You are not alone" beautifully, followed by a professional musical theatre performance of "All That Jazz" by Jamie Colmer (15). The popular group "JLF" sang in perfect harmony, followed by lovely soloist Sinead Boswell.
No one was prepared for Act 12! Sister Bouncee entered the stage wearing a nun's habit singing "The hills are alive." Suddenly the music changed, the Nun's habit was ripped off and Sister Bouncee burst into a lively Beyonce song, with a costume and dance that left the judges speechless!!
"The Rock Chicks" performed their cute dance act, followed by brave soloist Ashton. Jake introduced the heart of Wales with his excellent solo. The funny "Frank Spencer" act was a real blast from the past! Kizzy sang with a lovely voice and "Tom Jones", with medallions and enthusiasm, sang "The green, green grass of home".
Finally, Taryn Williams (15) performed an angelic version of Beyonce's "Ave Maria". Taryn's crystal clear, absolutely beautiful voice was the perfect end to an excellent show.
With judges and public votes counted, the results were in. Crowned Kilgetty's Got Talent winner, with £100 first prize was Taryn Williams. Second place and £50 was awarded to Sister Bouncee. Third place and £25 went to Jamie Colmer. All contestants received certificates and chocolates.
"I found Taryn's performance mesmerising. I actually prefer her version of Ave Maria to Beyonce's, I was covered in goose bumps! I'm so impressed with all the entrants, they proved that Kilgetty has got talent! It was great to meet everyone, I feel like we've got to know each other well. I hope this will continue." said Sharron Hardwick.
Some contestants will take part in a community carol service on December 20th 6.00pm, Kilgetty Community Centre; with open rehearsals on Sunday morning, 11am

Thanks are expressed by organisers, New Life Christian Fellowship, to all entrants, their friends and families for making the event such a success. Special thanks to Ben Stone, Gareth Morris, Caroline, for her talents operating the lap top, and to sound technicians Mick Parry Thomas and Montana.
