The humidity Sensor on the Oregon weather station deteriorates over time. I found a replacement component on ebay Part # HCZ-H8-B even though the specifications say it goes to 90% humidity when testing it goes to 98% exactly the same spec as in the manual..
New Sensor Element Part # HCZ-H8-B FROM EBAY
Carefully desolder the old component off the circuit board. Then solder in the new component.
Testing after reassembly. I took a very damp cloth and loosely wrapped it around plastic sensor, assembly within approximately 5 minutes. The reading on the display was 98%.
