We Didn't See That!
Huddled in stewards' corner. Freeeezzzing!
Even the famous atmosphere can't warm me up.
I have a chill, an infectious iciness realising released.
We missed it, hiding in plain sight.
Blinded by the ball, taken in by tekkers, stunned by silks.
Like a massive gang of Arsene Wengers who: “Didn't see that”!
The Brit roars at unjust decisions.
What about them - The unseen?
Endless hours, people, kids, slaving.
“Football's all about money nowadays”
Not for them!
We cheer, they cry. We love it, they live it.
Floods of tears already bottled.
Fans demand fair continuity.
Their voiceless existence screams: “Justice!”
Imprisoned, never enjoying the game they make;
Balls we kick, shirts on our backs.
Like blood and sweat their red and white labour soils our hands;
A Football fairness coronary.
They need the 12th man on this,
Chucking injustice further than Rory's throw-ins.
Loud and proud, demanding Fair Trade;
My dream.
Goooooarn Stoke, lets do it!
